1.5 Degrees — Climate Outreach Program

1.5 Degrees — Climate Outreach Program Einat Aharonov & Yonatan Goldsmith

Earth's climate is changing. This change can no longer be ignored.

But why is Earth warming? How is the current warming different from warm periods that occurred in the geological past? What will the climate be in the future? And what can we do about it?

We, the “Climate Forum”, a forum of 25 climate and energy scientists from the Hebrew University, Tel Aviv University, Weizmann Institute, the Open University, and Columbia University, accompanied by a film director and educators, created a 27 episode online series that presents a concise and simplified overview of the science behind global warming. Each lecture is 10 minutes long and presents one scientific aspect of global warming. The lectures are given at a high-school student level.

The series will be hosted at the HUJI Center for Sustainability website and will be available to educational organizations, the Ministry of Education, and to the public that is interested in deepening their understanding of the science and consequences of global warming and human caused climate change.
