Ring Center

Ring Multidisciplinary Center for Environmental Studies

Israel faces extreme environmental and nature conservation problems, due to climate conditions in the region, one of the highest population densities in the world, and an accelerated rate of urbanization. Solving these problems requires approaches based on high-quality interdisciplinary research. For this purpose, the Ring Center was established at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The Center promotes diverse academic activity on environmental issues by organizing conferences, advanced courses, and providing financial support to studies. The Ring Center brings together researchers from various faculties: natural sciences, medicine, social sciences, agriculture, food and environment, and law.
