Israel Climate Change Conference 2022

The Hebrew University and Haaretz are hosting the Israel Climate Change Conference 2022. The conference is scheduled for 23 February, 2022 in Jerusalem. President of Israel Isaac Herzog, US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry, and Hebrew University President Prof. Asher Cohen are among the distinguished guests scheduled to speak at the conference.

Researchers from the Hebrew University, together with partners in Israel and abroad, have created a 27 episode online series that presents a concise and simplified overview of the science behind global warming. JLM Impact to Host Sustainacity Hackathon

The JLM Impact Association invites the students of the Hebrew University, Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, and Azrieli - Academic College of Engineering to join its Sustainacity Hackathon. Participants will develop solutions to challenges and existential needs in the field of environment and sustainability and in particular in food and transportation. The Hackathon is scheduled for 9-10 December, 2021. Advanced registration is required.

YNet: The Hebrew University Establishes 'Center for Sustainability'

In a letter to the university community, university management announced its decision to to place sustainability at the top of its priorities and to establish the Center for Sustainability. More than 130 lecturers at the Hebrew University research, teach and deal with issues of sustainability, the environment and the climate.
